Vernon Hills Schools- The Choice is yours
Hawthorn School District 73 ( the Vernon Hills Schools) have a program that is unique within Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs.
Akin to the Chicago Public School System, Hawthorn District 73 has multiple elementary schools in the district from which parents can choose for their children. Enrollment in these Vernon Hills Schools is based on geography, availability and parent preference.
North Neighborhood families (those families living north of Townline Rd. in Vernon Hills) may indicate their school attendance preference from among the following schools: Elementary North, Aspen Elementary, Townline Elementary or the School of Dual Language.
South Neighborhood families (families living south of Townline Road in Vernon Hills) may indicate their school attendance preference from among the following schools: Elementary South, Aspen Elementary, Townline Elementary or the School of Dual Language. While it is wonderful to have so many choices available to a parent in Vernon Hills in regards to their child’s education, those choices can also lead to some confusion.
